That accent meme

Finally got enough bandwidth to load IJ and share my beautiful voice. Hahaha. And I see by now that everybody's moved past this silly meme and into the poetry, but this is all I got...

This is the meme:

Record yourself saying the following:

* Your name and/or username
* Where you’re from
* The following words: Aunt, Roof, Route, Wash, Oil, Theater, Iron, Salmon, Caramel, Fire, Water, Sure, Data, Ruin, Crayon, Toilet, New Orleans, Pecan, Both, Again, Probably, Spitting Image, Alabama, Lawyer, Coupon, Mayonnaise, Syrup, Pajamas, Caught, Orange, Coffee, Direction, Naturally, Aluminium and Herbs

Answer the following questions:

* What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house?
* What is the bubbly carbonated drink called?
* What do you call gym shoes?
* What do you say to address a group of people?
* What do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped body and extremely long legs?
* What do you call your grandparents?
* What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry groceries at the supermarket?
* What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining?
* What is the thing you change the TV channel with?

That accent meme by lilithilien

Yay yay yay! You're voice is in london! <333 *bounces* I loved hearing this!
And girl, wow, this was some fast talking! Will have to relisten (oh the shame, hehe) or transcribe it so I can pause to read the whole sentence like when I was trying to read Aldi's subs of Roman speaking - also, what was that about dirt?
I love your accent! And the laughter in you voice at the end is making me smile so much! *squeeeeeee*
Hahahah I never think I'm a speedtalker and then people insist that yes, I am. As for the dirt, I was just saying that I was much older than dirt, that I was old when dirt began. And no, I am NOT Dennis G.'s mother, thank you so very much.

Can't wait until my voice is really in London. Wheeeee!
EEEEEEEEEEEE *smooshes your voice*

You sound a lot like The Bloggess, who is also a Texan without the Texas drawl. I've heard your voice many times now, but I always love to hear it again :DDDDDDDDD (Also your pronunciation of coupon is awesome (cue-pon rather than coop-on) because I've heard both my whole life and always wondered which one is supposed to be "right" LOL.)

I love this meme so much. It's just a joy hearing everyone's voice! I think we should do some sort of reading at least once a month just so we can all hear each other on a regular basis ;D (OH HAY that might be a fun thing to do... have everyone read a fic or sth as a fanwork activity!)
PODFICS! I would love to hear more voices! Maybe... maybe that can be a new challenge for [info]no7_awz?

Haha I think cue-pon is a Southern thing, and probably not "correct." I have definitely retained some pronunciations even without the drawl. And I'm from Dallas, which has a very different accent than anywhere else in the state - is that where The Bloggess is from, do you know?
YES PODFIC THAT. I would LOOOOOOOVE a podfic challenge. *grabby hands* Might be making puppy eyes at the mods soon for that one :DDDDDDDDDDDD

She's originally from west Texas, and lived in Houston for a long time. Now they're somewhere more rural, not sure exactly where. *totally not a stalker*
Hm, interesting! Both of those places tend to be pretty drawly, so she must've worked to get rid of it. (Although I do think the accent's been diluted by so much mass media, you rarely hear the kind of accents anymore that I would when we visited my relatives in Lubbock and Amarillo.) Dallas was always considered somewhat of a "Yankee city" because the banks were centered there and so many Yankees (which is what we called anyone from north of Oklahoma) were resident there - it's why among Texans, Dallas is considered to be pretty soulless!

And another hmmmm, I'm interested in podficcing but I need better equipment. My recording took ages to get the volume up even that much!
I am ALL OVER the podfic idea! *wants* It's been so much fun listening to people just saying silly random words - how much more fun would it be to hear them read porn fic?? *wants*

Awwwww your voice is exactly as I remembered.<333333333333
(And I did enjoy this meme! )
Oh Honey, that was adorable! And I didn't notice any real impact on an accent. It was so nice to hear your voice! LOL
YAY! Our totalitarian overlord has spoken!
I feel like I should go through you recording again and decipher any hidden messages you might have included for us (or maybe I'll just reverse it and post it on TGoDT board and tell them the devil says the world will end if Chrolli break up).
And you're another 'sneakers' girl! *welcomes you to the group and teaches you sekrit handshakes* :D
So good to hear your voice again! And you even sound like yourself!!!
awwww! *cuddles your voice*

I like accents that aren't quite one place or another. Though I should not cuddle crumbly dirty quite so squishily or you'll crumble apart *pats back together into a Lil-like shape*
Lovely to hear your voice!
Again - because I heard you introducing your interview with the filmmakers of "Lady Pochoir".

P.S. Haha, I just had spelling-suggestions for "Pochoir": Pochoir, Po choir, Po-choir, Choir, Poacher, Posher, Poach, Pooch, Porch, Pouch, Patchier, Peachier, Pitcher, Poncho, Poor, Pechora, Posh, Chair, Pushier, Ochoa, Ocher, Pother, Portia, Pusher
Why don't you pronounce those for us???
