Welcome to my journal! Here you'll find random thoughts from my daily life, fandom-related discussion (both fangirling and ramblings that I hesitate to call anything as fancy as "meta"), occasional mentions of politics, music that's important to me, a healthy dose of complaining (that's mostly the politics), and anything else that amuses me at the time.

I'm working diligently towards my lifelong ambition to be a crazy cat (and dog) lady. Growing more curmudgeonly by the day, I have no patience or time for bigots, small-minded people, or people who won't think for themselves. Here be slash, (hopefully) progressive thoughts, and fellow travellers with adventurous minds. A snarkastic sense of humour doesn't hurt either.

There's nothing in this world I respect more than creativity, whether in writing drawing, cooking, knitting, whatever it is. That's why I love fandom so much. I'm a constant connoisseur and sometimes creator of fanfic (archived at

lili_pad and Dirty Epic). My current obsessions include Harry Potter, Alles Was Zaehlt, Stargate Atlantis, Torchwood, Life On Mars, Hustle, and Skins. Older but still beloved fandoms include Lord of the Rings, Firefly, The X-Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, La Femme Nikita, House, and Queer As Folk (UK). Other fannish behaviors include my embarrassing obsession with Cillian Murphy, a passion for indie film, and my hunger for pretty much all British telly.
